With a single Raytrix light field PTV camera you can capture both: 3D particle positions and 3D particle velocities in a volume. The patented micro lens array design used in Raytrix cameras offers an optimal combination of depth-of-field and effective resolution, which makes them the highest resolving light field cameras on the market.

    Particles are tracked within a volume of 100 x 100 x 60 mm (WxHxD).

RxFlow Software

3D Flow Analysis with

  • Analyse flow from double shot or continuous image capture

    RxFlow analyses flow from a single or a sequence of double shots, as well as from continous image captures.

  • Specialized flow analysis from raw image

    The 3D flow is calculated directly from the raw light field images assuming particle images.

  • Direct Visualization

    RxFlow visualizes the data in 3D and can also store it in ParaView file format or for interactive visualization in PowerPoint.

Single Camera

Only a single Raytrix light field camera is needed for volumetric PTV

Metric Calibration

Raytrix cameras can be easily metrically calibrated using the Raytrix software RxLive.

Robust

Camera does not become de-calibrated by shaking or moving it.

High Resolution

Raytrix cameras offer a maximal effective resolution of one quarter of the sensor resolution, which makes them the highest resolving light field cameras on the market.

PTV Analysis Software

Raytrix developed the software RxFlow that analyses the light field raw images to calculate 3D particle positions and 3D velocities.

Precision

In a volume of 63 x 94 x 60 mm the standard deviation is 0.06 mm (0,1%) laterally and 0.24 mm (0.4%) along the optical axis.
